Shelby's Brewery started with a simple idea: brew beer the way you'd want to drink it — honestly, carefully, and in small enough batches that nothing gets lost in a bigger operation's schedule.
Based in the Wye Valley, we sell straight from the brewery, through a handful of good local pubs, and from our own taproom when the tanks allow.

It's a hands-on operation — every batch passes through the same few hands, and one very interested nose.
Handles everything from mashing in to making sure the invoices go out — with a background that makes the process side of brewing feel right at home.
Reports to no one. Supervises every brew day from the office, and is the reason the brewery has a name.
Three beers, brewed a few hundred litres at a time — more on the way as the tanks free up.
Big citrus and tropical fruit on the nose, with a good hit of pine in the background. It's bold and bitter up front, but finishes clean and dry.
Light, zesty aroma with a touch of orange and fresh grass. Easy-drinking and balanced, with a soft bitterness that fades quickly and leaves you ready for the next sip.
Clean and light on the nose, with a gentle hint of biscuit. Crisp and refreshing to drink, finishing dry and quick — the kind of beer that disappears fast on a warm day.
